Summer Fun

Our Trip to Auckland

We were taking my friend Jacque to Auckland, before she flew back to America and decided that becauce it was the Jackson, Mitchell and Annabelle's birthdays, we would let them pick an activity to do. They chose Rainbows end for the main event, but we did a few more fun things like taking the ferry to Devonport and having a horse and cart ride, etc.

One of Annabelle's birthday presents was a ticket to Brooke Fraser and OpShop, a bit of a girls night out!

Cousins and Trees

Two days ago the kids second cousins arrived to stay with us for a week of the holidays. My kids were pestering me ALL day about when they were going to arrive.
Well it was fun from the moment they walked in the door. Sarah Jane was delighted that we have no carpet and a huge hallway. She found the slipperiest socks she could and was 'ice skating' for the first day. I am sure she will have bruises!

The huge trees that surround our boundary and block out summer sun right on BBQ time are being cut down. This has been treat fun for the kids watching them coming down and when the workers are on a break they get to explore some of the safer ones not yet cut.

Daniel is so patient! Jasmine has found a new best friend and it is him! She loves him, and he doesn't seem too worried about it, always giving her horsey rides and playing games with her.

Forever family day!!!

Well this was our third year celebrating Jasmine's arrival into our family. She is such a wonderful little girl, and so special. Sometimes we look at her and wonder what we did to deserve such a gift.

Jazz was looking forward to her adoption day celebration so much and ended up getting a bad cough and temperature, and falling asleep for the whole event! Poor wee thing.....so we have promised that when she feels better we will do it again.

After a shower with mummy in the morning and one funny hairdoo later, we were feeling much better!!

Annabelle's horse

Ok so we are crossing our fingers with this wee guy....he sounds like a dream (don't they all), but we went to visit him and he was really great. Very willing to do what he was told, and just loved being with the kids. He was obsesed with Jasmine. His only fault is that he is so overweight, so he is oficially on a diet. We get him on Friday.

Our new goat

This is our new goat. She was only a week old when we go her, so the kids are bottle feeding her which makes them very friendly. This was a really cute day, Ruby the goat was playing like another "kid" and didn't want to stop.........I don't think the other kids wanted to stop either.

This is my favourite photo of the kids! I just wish you could have heard the absolute joy squealing from Jasmine! So cute.

Our Mad Cow

Ok....seriously, we have a strange cow! She is always trying to toss my chair around and this time the chair fought back! It was really funny, and just by chance we caught it on Video. The cow was rescued by one of our employees, so don't worry.

A Day Out At Hockey.

Mitchell was asked to play all day Friday in a Hockey 11 a side tournament. They won their first game and lost three. While he was playing, Jackson helped sell and cook sausages, and two of the cutest customers I caught on camera.

This was one of Jackson's best games, and this is a magnificent'dive' to prove it. Hence to say he is a bit sore today!

The girls found a few ways to entertain themselves!

Annabelle's Violin

Earlier in the year, Annabelle had her first violin concert. This is her playing after 10 lessons.
We have managed to get her lessons in the suzuki method, which is great.
Jasmine is starting her first violin lesson on Tuesday!

Our funny wee boy!!!!

Mitchell is entering a competition for a "chef movie" coming up soon, where he has to enter in a recipe with a picture of himself cooking it. He really wants to win!!!
So as you can see he did it French theme, sound effects and everything. Very entertaining!

Trip to Auckland

I thought I would upload a few pictures from our trip to Auckland.

The highlight for the kids was Ice skating. We also took the kids to the zoo and we were able to feed the giraffes.

Here Goes

I have finally managed to get around to creating a family blog so our extended family and friends are able to catch up with our life....given that is is usually busy, this may not be updated as often as I would like! Jason is in Hamilton for hockey today, it is raining, and this is a really good excuse of why the house work can wait.

I had a birthday two days ago and decided it would be more fun spent with family, so we went to my parents for the weekend. Managed to fit in a movie and lunch at a cafe, grandparents are great.
